Thailand Food Kingdom!

Wow! What an amazing experience and opportunity we had to fly across the world and compete with some of the best eaters that Thailand and Taiwan have to offer! When we found out we were going to have the chance to travel abroad and represent MLE at the international level we of course jumped at the opportunity.

Where do we even start with this trip? I suppose the 30+ hours of travel but we both love international flights so that was no problem, and we were fondly greeted at the airport by Nut, a representative of ZENSE TV; the company that built this amazing production. The beautiful accommodations were a short drive away and we did our best to get some rest even though we were excited like kids on Christmas! The following day we met with some of the crew and saw the venue that was built for the event/contests, and we could have felt happier or more welcomed. With that said we were focused on enjoying the trip while of course trying to get ready for the competitions to come!

Over the next three days we both took part in 8 contests ranging from donuts to fish balls to cheese towers. Miki put up some dominant performances with 4 wins/new world records in the Daddy Dough Donuts (87 in 8 min), Allowrie Cheese Tower (328 slices 8 min), Fish balls (368 in 8 min), and Pork Buns (39.5 in 8 minutes). While Zosan Pac Pac put up 2 impressive victories and hometown hero Nat V Food took home great 2 wins as well. We met some amazing competitors and felt so grateful that ZENSE TV, MLE and all of the sponsors welcomed us and put on such an outstanding event! We really hope to be back next year and hopefully continue to grow the international presence of Major League Eating.
